Niles Godes has more than 25 years of experience in shaping and advancing public policy in Washington, DC. As senior vice president of congressional affairs, Godes leads the association’s work to advance LeadingAge’s public policy agenda on Capitol Hill.
Prior to joining LeadingAge, Godes was Democratic staff director of the U.S. Congress Joint Economic Committee. He previously served as chief of staff to Sen. Byron Dorgan, director of economic development for Sen. Kent Conrad, and managed statewide political campaigns in his home state of North Dakota. His previous advocacy experience includes a decade of representing nonprofit organizations and companies of all sizes, from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies.
Godes holds a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Georgetown University and is a member of the Maryland Bar.
