Affordable senior housing communities may have another vaccine partner resource in community health centers.

The week of February 15, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and the CDC launched a program to directly allocate a limited supply of COVID-19 vaccine to select HRSA-funded health centers.

Vaccine allocation to HRSA-funded health centers helps meet the Biden Administration goal of ensuring the nation's underserved communities and those disproportionately affected by COVID-19 are equitably vaccinated against COVID-19.

The health center vaccine allocations are separate from jurisdictions' weekly allocations. The initial phase will include at least one Community Health Center in each state, expanding to 250 centers in the coming weeks.

Housing providers may wish to contact their local community health center to inquire about partnering in on-site vaccine access for residents.
