This year marks our second annual Leading Age Student Program held as part of the LeadingAge Annual Meeting & EXPO, and we need your support to help it succeed!
As part of our commitment to workforce recruitment in aging services, we are inviting students—who are enrolled full-time in undergraduate or graduate programs—to attend the meeting. There, they can meet professionals in our field, learn about the issues that shape it, and be inspired to build careers in aging services.
We need your help to fund scholarships—to cover travel and lodging expenses—for students from outside of the Philadelphia area. Our inaugural Student Program, at last year’s LeadingAge Annual Meeting & EXPO in New Orleans, attracted 50 students. This year, we hope to attract and inspire more than 100. The 2018 Student Program will give students opportunities for career coaching and networking, and access to hundreds of compelling education sessions about critical issues in our field.
“It was helpful to see the other opportunities in the field—almost any job you want—and I didn’t know that when I originally decided to get into aging.” -Taylor Reed, Cornell University, 2017 Annual Meeting & EXPO attendee
