Alishia Parkhill serves as the Senior Vice President of Programs and Membership. In that capacity, Alishia oversees the Marketing, Conference and Sales, Education and Member Services departments responsible for growing and retaining membership and conference attendance, increasing member value, creating and delivering first-in-class education and contributing to the overall strategic direction of LeadingAge. Previously, Alishia served as the Vice President of Marketing at LeadingAge and prior to that as Senior Director of Integrated Marketing at Reading Is Fundamental (RIF).
A veteran marketing professional and entrepreneur, Alishia has worked in a variety of contexts supporting non-profit organizations. Her success in the industry is directly attributable to her ability to lead, direct and manage teams to execute both the vision and the strategy of her clients, which include among others, Whole Foods Market, Imagination Stage and National Public Radio. She has also worked with cause partners Macy’s, Pine Sol, US Airways and Colgate-Palmolive on nationwide campaigns to benefit nonprofits. As a result of her commitment to excellence, entrepreneurship and execution, Alishia was named one of the 40 people under 40 to watch by the Washingtonian Magazine.
Alishia graduated with honors from the University of Houston where she studied Art History and French and is a member of the American Marketing Association and ASAE Center for Association Leadership. Her commitment to service and aging goes beyond her role at LeadingAge. She is a volunteer at a local hospice organization providing respite care for families.
