National Home & Community Based Services Conference

Join Marc Cohen and Robyn Stone, co-directors of the LeadingAge LTSS Center @UMass Boston, at the National Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Conference on Aug. 27-30, 2018 in Baltimore, MD.

Marc Cohen and Robyn Stone, co-directors of the LTSS Center, and Kim Brooks, vice president of senior living at Hebrew SeniorLife, will discuss, “New Models of Affordable Senior Housing-Based Service Coordination/Wellness Programs” during the National Home and Community Based (HCBS) Conference on Aug. 27-30, 2018 in Baltimore, MD.

The presentation will explore affordable senior housing communities as a platform for the coordination, navigation and delivery of medical and social services to vulnerable, low-income older adults. The 3 panelists will:

  • Present 2 different initiatives that are currently being implemented in Vermont and Massachusetts;
  • Discuss several key findings relating to cost, quality, and resident satisfaction from evaluations of these programs; and
  • Put forward new thinking about options for financing housing-based coordinated care approaches.
