Safeguarding Medical Identity Training Course Offered by HHS OIG

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Inspector General (OIG) has made available to Medicare and Medicaid providers a free 60-minute web-based training course designed to provide education to providers regarding medical identity theft.



The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Inspector General (OIG) has made available to Medicare and Medicaid providers Safeguarding Your Medical (APR2012), a free 60-minute web-based training course designed to provide education to providers regarding medical
identity theft.

The training, part of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Medicare Learning Network, includes
information on how to recognize risks of identity theft and measures that providers can use to protect their medical identity.
