Interested in finding out how to bring health and supportive services to your affordable senior housing community? Then you'll want to join a fall study tour of housing providers that have done just that.

The study tour takes place Sept. 10-15, 2012, in Boston, MA, and Burlington, VA. It is co-sponsored by the LeadingAge Center for Applied Research and the International Association of Homes and Services for the Ageing (IAHSA).

Housing with Services Study Tour Stops

The tour begins and ends in Boston. It includes stops at 5 affordable housing communities that have taken the lead in developing a wide range of service-enriched housing models and programs linking residents with health and supportive services.

Tour participants will learn about the types of services and supports these providers offer as well as their service delivery mechanisms, community partners and funding sources.

Led by Robyn Stone

The Affordable Housing with Services Study Tour will be led by Dr. Robyn Stone, executive director of the Center for Applied Research.

Since 2005, the center has been studying the role that housing with services could play in meeting the growing need for health and long-term services and supports among low-income elders.
