Demand Grows for LGBT Retirement Communities
Retirement communities that serve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) older people seem to be booming, in spite of the recent economic downturn. According to Newsweek magazine, a growing number of developers are building communities that they hope will appeal to the estimated three million LGBTs who are over age 65 and the six million LGBT baby boomers who will retire in the next few decades.
