Mike Rinebold on the Hill

Mike Rinebold, our state exec in Indiana, spent Monday afternoon on Capitol Hill meeting with health and housing staff in Indiana House offices and with Senator Donnelly’s office.  “Mike is a great advocate!” said Marsha Greenfield, LeadingAge VP for Health Legislation, who accompanied him. Mike spoke persuasively in support of LeadingAge Indiana’s member's concerns about HUD housing, nursing home regulations, and saving the Medicaid program from disastrous cuts. 

U.S. House Committee Hearing: PACE and SNPs Promote Coordinated Care

Cheryl Wilson, President, and CEO of St. Paul’s in San Diego gave moving testimony to the House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Health yesterday. While her testimony focused on how integrated payments for people dually eligible for Medicaid and Medicare can lead to improved care, she gave several stirring examples of how the PACE program has restored seniors’ dignity and allowed them to keep their independence.
