The 2017 OAM theme is Age Out Loud. What it means to age has changed, and OAM 2017 is a perfect opportunity to recognize and celebrate what getting older looks like today by sharing the stories and experiences of older adults and those that serve them.

Ways to Engage on Social Media

Each week, LeadingAge will focus on a different issue area in our OAM posts and articles. We welcome you to join us in bringing attention to these key issues:

  1. Week 1: Workforce
  2. Week 2: Ageism
  3. Week 3: Women’s Health (In partnership with the HHS Office on Women’s Health for NWHW)
  4. Week 4: Affordable Housing

Whether you’re using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram -- or all of the above -- engage your communities with OAM activities to help them take steps to improve their health, get involved in the community, and enrich the lives of others.

Facebook , Twitter, Instagram:

  • Like @LeadingAge and @ACLGov
  • Share and “like” OAM content on ours and other sites to help spread the word.
  • Add the hashtag #OAM17 to your posts/tweets so all campaign participants can see them.
  • Use our OAM infocards (check back each week for new images).
