In November 2010, leaders and innovators from around the world gathered in Los Angeles at the largest aging services show in the country—the LeadingAge Annual Meeting and Exposition. It was here that attendees experienced the 2010 Idea House. The Idea House delivered more than 5,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor living space and was located at the epicenter of the LeadingAge Exposition.
This exhibit showcased the best in universal design and cutting-edge technologies in a hands-on, interactive environment. The first day it opened, rooms quickly became standing-room only. Throughout the conference attendees, media and the public toured the groundbreaking open floor plan, featuring advances in eco-friendly green building, technology and universal design for vibrant aging in place.
