On Aug. 15, Ohio Rep. Jim Butler (R-Oakwood) visited LeadingAge member Bethany Village to discuss issues facing retirement communities, including Medicaid funding for nursing home, assisted living, and home care affected by state legislature actions.
Judy Budi, vice president of residential care, took Rep. Butler on an informational tour of the assisted living, long-term nursing care, memory-supported care and Bethany Rehabilitation Center areas. In several of these areas, he met employees who described how they deliver the experience of faithful caring.
With more than 500 employees and nearly 800 residents, Bethany Village greatly impacts the surrounding community and economy. Butler learned about the size and scope of Bethany Village, and was also able to visit homes in Bethany's residential living areas.
Bethany Village is an accredited continuing care retirement community in Centerville, Ohio. Bethany’s 100-acre campus includes cottage homes and apartments, assisted living, long-term nursing care, memory-supported care and short-term rehabilitation services.
