This innovative organization began serving the Asian community in 1967 as a community center. They opened their nursing home in 1986 and as Sacramento's needs have evolved over time, Asian Community Center expanded its reach and services to include adult day programs, assisted living, and transportation services. It also manages the county's "Meals on Wheels" program.

Their award-winning Livable Design Demonstration Home combines universal design, health, wellness and social technologies as well as green living.
