This innovative organization began serving the Asian community in 1967 as a community center. They opened their nursing home in 1986 and as Sacramento's needs have evolved over time, Asian Community Center expanded its reach and services to include adult day programs, assisted living, and transportation services. It also manages the county's "Meals on Wheels" program.

Eskaton offers a range of programs and services for persons seeking independent and assisted living, memory care, skilled care, home and community based services as well as intergenerational programs serving both children and adults. Their award-winning Livable Design Demonstration Home combines universal design, health, wellness and social technologies as well as green living. Forming strong partnerships and collaborating with other organizations has been an essential component to their success.

This award-winning continuing care retirement community provides person-centered services that reach beyond a traditional retirement community model which include a newly built skilled nursing care center, onsite dialysis, hospice and palliative care as well as an onsite pediatric day care and a preschool.
