KAHSA Becomes LeadingAge Kansas

by Published On: Nov 01, 2011

Today the Kansas Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (KAHSA) officially became LeadingAge Kansas. The name is a reflection of the leadership that we provide to our members on behalf of Kansas seniors.

As the leading association for not-for-profit aging services providers in the state, it is important for us to keep our members ahead of the curve in the areas of innovation, leadership, advocacy and technology. This name does just that – it sets us apart as leaders in our field.

We are changing our name for several reasons. First, it better reflects who we are and what we do. Second, it comes on the heels of our national association changing their name to LeadingAge. Finally, it sets our members apart from other providers with the important distinction of being not-for-profit.

The Not-For-Profit Difference is significant in aging services because it allows us and our members to be the first in innovation and consistently look for new and better ways to care for seniors.

In addition, being not-for-profit carries an important responsibility and commitment to the communities in which we operate.
We encourage you to join us today in celebrating our new name and using it as an opportunity to tell your story.
